Willie Nelson’s Pot Charge Reduced to $100 Fine…. If He Sings In Court

28 03 2011

Willie F***'n Nelson

The legendary country singer and activist has been offered a deal by the prosecution in his marijuana possession case.  Last November, Nelson was charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession when U.S. Border Patrol in Texas found pot in his tour bus (ummm, are they familiar with Willie Nelson?  Seriously, what did they expect?!).  If convicted, Willie would face a maximum sentence of 180 days in jail and a $2,000 fine.  But the prosecutor in the case is willing let Nelson off with a $100 fine- provided he sings “Blue Eyes Smiling in the Rain” in the courtroom as “community service”.
